All the things I never told you
“All the things I never told you” is a book curated by Inés Maestre. It collects images, texts, thoughts, conversations…around the idea of love in the western society.
Love is an engine in our lives that can begin with desire and it can end up in a long term relationship (with someone, something or several) I think love is an exchange, it’s a feeling, but it’s also a concrete moment. It can last forever or can stay only in the first layer where passion, red roses and other clichés that our popular culture have showed us as the main references of how love has to be. In order to have a wider vision and be able to unlearn and relearn about our own patterns and beliefs I think it’s important to deconstruct this concrete idea about love generally related to romanticism, monogamic, unidirectional love, heteronormativity that coexist in harmony with the patriarchal society.”
